According to IEC latest news website, IEC 62133 the latest version released on February 7, 2017. IEC 62133 by the IEC/SC21A under centralized, concrete shall be formulated by the WG4 responsible for 1 version released in 2002, second edition, published in 2012.
IEC 62133 is the world's most important international standard lithium-ion batteries, also is the important basis of IECEE - CB certification. Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India and other countries have adopted IEC 62133 respectively established their own national standards, these standards has become an important basis for market access in these countries.
Compared with the 2012 version, IEC 62133 latest version has the following differences:
The standard is divided into two parts: nickel batteries and lithium batteries;
The button type battery included in this standard (previous version does not include the button type battery);
Updated the article 5.6 of the battery pack assembly;
New mechanical test (vibration, impact);
